Free-Standing Mid-Century Fireplace

Casey at vitamini (cute store if, like my wife, you love Mini Coopers) was kind enough to share her photos of an Inca gold Condon-King Aztec free-standing mid-century fireplace.
For something that I didn't even know existed a few days ago, I'm kind of in love with it. It reminds me of a Malm fireplace, but I like the shape of the Condon-King Aztec a little bit better.

  1. Thanks for showing off our new fireplace! It's missing a knob on the screen and needs a good cleaning, but once that's done it's going to be a real focal point on our patio. I'll have to throw a tiki party. :)

  2. And thanks for sharing the photos. You can color me extremely jealous. I would love a fireplace like that on our patio.

  3. I recently bought a condo in Anchorage, Alaska, and it has a Condon-King Aztec fireplace in Inca Gold. Looks cool, too bad most got rid of theirs in the building.

    1. Have you made a fire in it yet? How does it burn? Does the smoke go up the chimney or into the room? We are thinking of buying one and need to know...thx!

  4. That is a far off place to find such a pretty fireplace. Glad there are a few condos up there that still have their mid-century charm.

  5. Condon King was my Dad's company. We were always proud of the quality products and it was a great company to grow up in. I have an Aztec in what we called "mandarin red." Enjoy.

    1. My father bought a red orange one. Just sold parents house last year and I took it out. Keeping it for me. Lots of good warm memories. Thanks for making a perfect fireplace
