Here's a vintage book I'd love to add to my library, "Modern Houses of the World" by Sherban Cantacuzino. There's 160 pages of photos of mid-century homes and floor plans by Frank Lloyd Wright, Richard Neutra, Paul Rudolph and many, many others. Rudolph's Milam house in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL is the house on the cover.
I bet that's a great book. But is it one of those bank-breaking mid-century books? I have several on my wish list that are so expensive I'm going to have to wait till I win the lottery to buy them.
ReplyDeleteNot totally bank breaking, just hard to track down in decent condition without a page or two missing.
DeleteGreat book! Picked one up in Wales last year for 6.00 GBP. Great photos and even better floor plans.
ReplyDeleteColor me jealous.
DeleteThe black and white picture is of The Orange County Government Center in Goshen, NY. They are currently trying to tear the building down and put a new building up, but there are many people in the county fighting against it.
